Heading structure is the first thing a search engine (and a skimming visitor) reads: one H1, logical H2s, no skipped levels. Most broken pages fail here without anyone noticing. Enter a URL or paste HTML and get the full outline instantly — the same audit our free website tool runs on your live pages, minus the wait.

How it works

  1. Enter a page URL — or paste raw HTML if the page is not public yet.
  2. Hit “Find structure” and read the heading outline.
  3. Fix what is out of order: one H1, no skipped levels, meaningful wording.

Questions people ask

What makes a good heading structure?

Exactly one H1 that states the page topic, H2s for the main sections, H3s inside them — and never skipping a level (H2 to H4). Screen readers and search engines both read the outline top-down; a clean one helps both.

Why does my URL fail to load?

The fetch runs from your browser, so pages that block outside requests or require login cannot be read. For those, open the page, view source, and paste the HTML into the second box — the analysis is identical.

Do keywords in H2 tags still matter for SEO?

As a signal, modestly; as structure, enormously. Headings tell Google what each section is about and give you the jump-to-section links in search results. Write them for humans first — they are what skimmers read.
